Dover, NH - March 18, 2025 - QA Cafe, a leading provider of network test solutions, has launched the Wi-Fi Range vs. Rate Expansion for its flagship automated test platform, CDRouter. This new expansion simplifies Wi-Fi performance validation for Wi-Fi gateways and APs, allowing developers and QA teams to perform critical Range vs. Rate (RvR) testing with integrated, automated programmable attenuators - all within the CDRouter ecosystem.
Wi-Fi Range vs. Rate (RvR) testing is a key benchmark for evaluating real-world Wi-Fi performance and is a foundational test in Broadband Forum’s TR-398 certification. However, existing high-end Wi-Fi test solutions are often too complex and costly for routine validation, making it difficult for Wi-Fi vendors and service providers to integrate RvR testing into day-to-day workflows.
“With the CDRouter Wi-Fi Range vs. Rate Expansion, we are addressing a critical need in the industry: an automated, cost-effective, and streamlined way to conduct RvR testing,” said Erica Johnson, CEO of QA Cafe. “Our customers need a solution that fits into their continuous integration and testing pipelines without the overhead of certification-grade testbeds. This expansion provides repeatable, real-world Wi-Fi performance validation all within the industry standard platform for CPE testing.”
CDRouter’s Wi-Fi Range vs. Rate Expansion is built for continuous performance validation, unlike traditional Wi-Fi test platforms designed for hardware development and certification. It allows teams to:
“This expansion is a game-changer for developers and service providers who need a practical, scalable, and automated way to measure Wi-Fi performance,” said Johnson. “By integrating RvR testing into CDRouter, we’re helping our customers optimize their devices for real-world deployment while simplifying their testing workflows.”
The Wi-Fi Range vs. Rate Expansion is now available as an add-on to CDRouter.
